Copenhagen, New York and London based Bjarke Ingels Group: BIG — architecture group known for their experimental perception of architecture and design could not possibly stay indifferent to the project related to affordable housing. The studio successfully fulfilled the mission of preserving an enclosed green courtyard and decidedly confronted a long-established idea of densely-built affordable housing. This project allows for apartments with floor space of 60 to 115 square metres, and 3.5 meters high ceilings. Such a generous amount of space could not but be appreciated by the residents who can enjoy abundant daylight and healthy and sustainable living.
