Daniel Popper is known to be one of the most creative large-scale sculptures artists who has proven to be capable of enlivening top festivals around the globe by works of voluptuous beauty.
His latest piece was presented at the Boom Festival in Portugal. It mesmerized the visitors by its coalescence with both the natural environment and the overall design of the event. The 12-meters-tall sculpture made of wood, steel, ropework and greenery contains a heart that lights up the forest greens. Daniel’s totem-like creature possesses unearthly radiance which in turn gives the encompassing area a mysterious tribal look.

Another of Daniel’s works inhibited the Electric Forest festival held annually in Michigan, USA. It is a 4-day event with a focus on electronic and jam band genres, and it would not be as popular, vibrant and captivating if it hadn’t been for the visual artists who decorate the festival’s area with their ostentatious work. Popper’s Lady Vine became the centrepiece – surrounded by trees, it provided a direct visual connection with the forces of nature.

Daniel Popper’s creative work suggests that gigantic installations can have purposes other than decorating outdoor festivals. His Baby Soft sculpture installed in a shopping mall aims to bring into focus the importance of using eco-friendly toilet paper. These fanciful creatures captivate the attention of children first, as they have so many similarities with child-drawn pictures.
