The handle is carved out of one piece of solid wood at the factory in Tendo-City, Yamagata, Japan, and is available in light beech wood or dark walnut wood.

Although JIU looks like a plate, it is one of the highest quality iron frying pans. It is manufactured by metal spin forming process. Original hardening and tempering process, which uses over 700 degree quenching, makes the iron frying pan to be rust resistant and stick resistant. 1.6mm thick steel plate allows ingredients to be cooked slowly and thoroughly even by low heat. According to the manufacturer, it brings juicy texture of meat, crunchy texture of vegetables, and bread can be crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

The product is compatible with all stovetops including induction cooktops. and comes in two different sizes to suit your needs. The manufacturer claims dishwashing detergent is not required for cleaning, which makes washing up as efficient as cooking and eating. Instead, only hot water and pod scrubbing brush would be enough.

Aiming to optimize small living spaces, the team has developed a bespoke design of partitioned plates that can be transformed into decorative panels for kitchen furniture, which can be efficiently utilized to store more crockery, cups, glasses, and other kitchen essentials. The design is intended to be hung on the wall. The rows of plates can be folded down, providing easy access to stored items or allowing the removal of a plate from the front.

Every plate has a uniquely different partition design, so it not only enhances the dining experience separating main courses and side dishes but also contributes to the shelf’s eye-catching facade. The grid-like structure of Gere allows for scalability, enabling larger or smaller versions to cater to the specific needs and preferences of different users.

The shelf is crafted from local oak wood, chosen for its sturdiness and resistance to water. The plates, conceptualized using 3D graphic software, are 3D printed, translated into plaster molds, and ultimately cast in porcelain.
